PowerBlock
Quick verdict
Best for: It fits exercisers who mostly use 3–24 pounds per hand, value fast three-pound jumps, and want eight selectable weights without storing eight conventional pairs. It also suits a shared space where a small footprint matters more than heavy loading.

Editorial assessment
The PowerBlock Sport 24 is a compact, quick-change pair for lighter strength, circuit, and accessory work, but its fixed 24-pound ceiling makes it a specialized choice rather than a complete long-term dumbbell solution.

The magnetic selector pin makes changes faster than unloading threaded handles, and every selected weight keeps the same 10-by-5.5-inch footprint. The three-pound progression is useful when a five-pound jump would be too large for smaller isolation movements.
Sport 24 is deliberately non-expandable. A user who reaches 24 pounds on presses, rows, squats, or carries must add another set rather than buying an expansion stage. The enclosed block shape also feels different from a conventional round dumbbell.
Each dumbbell measures 10 by 5.5 by 5.5 inches, but allow a clear, level landing area for both nested stacks. A compact stand is optional; floor storage saves money but makes repeated weight changes less convenient.
Use the selector pins made for Sport 24 and confirm that each pin passes fully beneath the chosen rail before lifting. PowerBlock limits the five-year warranty to residential use. The official page lists replacement handles and pins, while heavier plates cannot be added.
Core Home Fitness reaches 50 pounds with a more conventional round profile and twist adjustment, trading the Sport 24's lighter three-pound steps for five-pound jumps. PowerBlock Elite EXP also reaches 50 pounds and can expand, but is longer, heavier, and model-specific.
This assessment is based on PowerBlock's current Sport 24 specifications, included-parts list, compatible-accessory guidance, and residential warranty—not hands-on testing or Amazon reviews. Confirm the color variant without assuming it changes the mechanical specification.
