Editorial assessment
The Horizon 5.0U is a step-through upright bike with 100 electronically controlled resistance levels, a 15.4-pound flywheel, and a 300-pound limit, suited to steady seated cardio rather than studio-style standing efforts.
Reviewed 2026-10-07 by HomeGymPicker Editorial Team
Horizon publishes an ECB magnetic brake with 0–100 resistance levels, a 15.4-pound flywheel, five programs (calorie, distance, intervals, manual, and weight loss), a 60 by 127 mm LCD, Bluetooth app connectivity, and heart-rate input from hand grips or a Bluetooth receiver. A fan, bottle holder, tablet rack, and USB-A charging port are included.
The flywheel is light next to indoor cycles such as the 7.0 IC, so the ride suits seated efforts more than standing sprints. Horizon does not publish an inseam or rider-height range, so check fit against the horizontal and vertical seat adjustment.
Plan around the 46 by 22.4 by 53 inch footprint plus room to mount from the side, near a 110–120V outlet, because the electronically controlled brake needs power. At 87 pounds it can be repositioned, but not casually carried between floors.
Horizon lists a lifetime frame warranty with one year each for parts and labor. Classes reached over Bluetooth may need separate accounts or subscriptions. Keep the receipt and model details for warranty service.
This assessment uses Horizon's official 5.0 U product page and spec table checked October 7, 2026. No hands-on ride, noise, or durability testing was performed.
